My name is Shane the founder and owner of Imperative Clothing I began this brand with the sole purpose of inspiring communities to work together through health and fitness. I had a tough start to life with my mother being addicted to drugs and as a result, ended up in foster care. I lost her at a very young age without ever meeting her and it affected my teen years as I didn’t find the answers I was seeking. I found it extremely difficult in a foster home as I didn’t feel part of their family and was left to fend for myself in my early 20s and the following years got even tougher as I was always trying to find my true self. I became homeless and then I realised in life you don’t find yourself you create yourself. I began training every single day with early rises and a strict daily routine all the answers I was looking for were in the work I was avoiding. I found a brotherhood in the local gym and a solid network of like-minded individuals and that’s where I found the inspiration for this brand. The power we get from working with our friends and communities is second to none.
